Tunnel plug
A tunnel plug is an anal toy with a hollow centre that runs the full length of the plug, creating an open channel once inserted. The hollow design allows for visual access, temperature play, or the use of other toys through the tunnel. Most have a flared base for safety and come in graduated sizes to match experience levels.
Why it matters
The hollow design opens up options that solid plugs simply cannot offer. You can use the tunnel for temperature play — warm or cool water, ice cubes — or combine it with other toys for layered sensation. Some people enjoy the visual element, others the feeling of openness without removal. The tunnel also makes cleaning easier, since you can flush water straight through rather than working around curves.
That said, tunnel plugs ask more of you than solid ones. The walls are thinner, so they flex more during wear, and the open centre means less internal contact — which some find less satisfying. They also tend to be heavier in metal and require more careful sizing, since the tunnel itself takes up space. If you are new to anal play, a solid plug will likely suit you better while you learn what your body responds to.
